Paintball is an amazing experience, being out there on the field with your adrenaline rushing through body. There is nothing else like it. Kevin and I started playing paintball during our Freshman year in high school. We went for my birthday and brought a few other friends with us to better the experience(the more friends you bring the better it is). When we first showed up to the paintball place(Splatter park not an endorsement :) ) we were all pretty nervous mostly because we were scared to get shot, we assumed that it was going to hurt pretty bad. So to lessen the pain we packed layers on our body, I was wearing like three jackets and four shirts and Kevin was also wearing a few shirts and a jacket. After we got all of gear situated and put together we were placed into a group with about ten other people and told to follow a ref to the battle field. The ref split us up into teams and sent us off onto the field and the games began!
I was scared out of my mind, our team started to rush right into fire while Kevin and I just chilled in the back watching people get shot. We finally started to get into the action after we saw most of our team get eliminated. Kevin and I along with our other friends began to move up the field shooting at anything that moved, we hide behind some cover but we were petty much pinned; no where to go. I started to shoot back at the enemy team, my heart beating like crazy and then all of a sudden I felt some pain in my chest area and I looked down and saw a splattered paintball on my chest. Then not too long after I got out Kevin followed me. The pain was actually not that bad, I would probably compare it to a rubber band hitting your skin. Right after our first match was over we knew we were hooked for life. Ever since then we having been going every year and even paintballing ourselves in some nearby forest. That's basically how Kevin and I got hooked on paintball and made into one of our favorite hobbies.
